Distributor vacuum unit 1 237 121 373

I have fitted it successfully to the distributor and I will test it when the engine is reassembled.
I am replacing the intermediate and skew gear bearings at the moment amongst other things so it will be several weeks.

well I now learned that Powerspark SVDA 034 is a Volkswagen distributor replacing Bosch 0 231 170 034. When I look at that Bosch distributor then it has an advance from 80 mmHg to 190 mmHg and it advances by 5° camshaft or 10° main shaft. 1 237 121 373 RETARDS by 5° camshaft between 100 mmHg and 200 mmHg. Same magnitude of movement in smaller distributor means smaller amplitude as well.

But on top we do not really know what Powerspark has used as spec.
