Neue / new domain jetronic.org

Hallo / Hi,

ich beabsichtige, diese Webseite auf eine neue Domain umzuziehen. Statt oldtimer.tips, das im Englischen nicht verstanden wird und mit dem Fokus auf D-Jetronic und K-Jetronic habe ich mir eine neue Domain registriert:

I intend to move this website to a new domain. Instead of oldtimer.tips that no native English speaker understands as classic cars and with our focus on D-Jetronic and K-Jetronic I registered a new domain:

Das zeigt dann besser, was wir hier machen. Die alte Domain würde ich behalten und per Umleitung auf jetronic.org nach und nach verschwinden lassen. Eure gespeicherten Links würden so noch eine Weile funktionieren, nicht aber gespeicherte Passworte. Die müsstet Ihr einmalig neu eingeben.

That should reflect more accurately what we are doing here. I would keep the old domain per redirect to jetronic.org and would let it fade away over time. Your stored links to oldtimer.tips would thus still work as long as I keep the old domain. Stored passwords would have to be reentered once.

Irgendwelche gravierenden Einwände? Any serious objections?

Gute Idee, Volker. Den Begriff "Oldtimer" mochte ich noch nie so richtig. Eben weil es genauso falsch aus dem Englischen eingedeutscht wurde, wie "Handy"...

hast Du recht, der neue Name macht mehr Sinn. Pass mal auf, Du wirst auf einmal viel mehr Anfragen bekommen.

Well,

that is not badly wrong either. I am an old man - as most of us are - who has been dealing with Jetronics since 2007 for a long time.
