Fuel Pressure Regulator

I do not recommend to do so. I once tried and had steam bubbles collecting in front of gauge. To avoid that you should mount gauge lower than fuel lines and then you cannot read.

An update to this post. I ordered the SKANDIX 1018592 fuel pressure regulator and it seems to be a 1 to 1 fit for the old fuel pressure regulator. I've attached a few photos of the packaging and the fuel pressure regulator itself in comparison to the original. Are there any best tips or practices that can help with installing a new FPR?

Yes, there are things you have to take care about.

At first, don't load the fuel-pressure by switching ignition on before removing the old regulator. Best is, the engine has been standing for at least some hours. Otherwise, you will be surprised about the amount of fuel...
And then - the short hose between FPR and the pressure damper tends to clogg, because this hose is not bent from the factory and gets a crincle. Use a bent hose. They are temporarily unavailable from DB, but you could use a GATES MFL1108 and cut out what you need.

You have to adjust the fuel pressure,use a calibrated manometer.

Do you have any recommendations for where to plug the pressure tester in? I am assuming the cold start injector, but I'm not sure which side. Also, is there a diagram for the direction of fuel flow I could reference?

remove cold start valve hose and install pressure gauge there.

Hello John,
The fuel line is a ring line.
The outlet of the FPR is opposite the adjustment screw.
The other two <opposite> connectors are connected to the same chamber.
