Hello,
I have a Citroen Ds with D jet system.
The car has some issues...
BIggest problem was that when you try to accelerate (pedal down in one kick) the car "fals back to idle. Iff you keep your footh down she revs up but slowly.
When the throttle valve sensor was disconnected she rans fine.
Another thing is that when the ignition is on the fuelpump stays on even after 2 sec. Changed the ecu with a spare one and this is fixed now. But now she doesn't inject fuel when starting. Iff I open the throttle a couple times you hear the injectors spraying and the the engine runs untill the fuel is burnt.
Anyone can tell me what the ecu needs to activate the injectors for starting/idle. Is it only the points or doesnit also need map to start injecting?

Hi Unknown - would be great if you could sign with firstname e.g. via signature,
what you describe sounds like someone modified your wiring harness to make the fuel pump run. You should verify on pin 19 whether both ECUs apply ground to make the fuel pump turn for 2 minutes after ignition ON. Also pin 18 should deliver +12V while cranking engine. If ECU does not react to that by setting pin 19 to ground, then ECU fails and needs repair.

I made a introduction post on the other forum section.
The wiring was replaced by previous owner. But when I put an spare ecu in, the fuel pump works as it should 2 seconds and stops. Than I tried the "bad" ecu on another car and the fuel pump of the other car stayed on like on the first car. So I think it are 2 different problems.
One problem is a bad ecu that keeps the fuelpump on if ignition is on.
But the second problem is that with both ecu's the engine doesn't inject fuel when starting. It does inject fuel when ignition is on and I open throttle (iff throttle goes off idle)
I'll check tomorow pin 18 and 19 tomorow

Hi Dieter,
you should make the MPS have correct connection towards the ECU.
One single pin missing = no injection.
You should do the measurements directly at the plug at the ECU <disconnected>.
