Ignition timing for my MB

Hello Volker,

My questions is regarding idle timing value. In a workshop manual it is said - TDC 0°+/-2° at idle with vacuum.
On topics I found - (1. Is it a European engine with European distributor? If so, then set to 10 ° before TDC at start-up speed without negative pressure. )


what should be correct timing value at idle in my case ?

Ignition distributor: 0 231 403 001 , EU model, engine 116

timing test values I have:

30° @ 3000/min without vacuum
19° @ 1500/min without vacuum
10° at idle with vacuum

Look into chapter 07.5-500 Checking and adjusting dwell and ignition timing

And as you have advance and retard on your vacuum connection, check both.
