normally I would swap MAP sensors with you. But unfortunately importation from outside EU is a huge problem with customs. They would hold the package, ask for an invoice, might not believe it and estimate a value and charge 19% VAT (plus possible customs fees) on that estimated value. I am therefore not saying yes to a swap. Would you take the risk that customs Germany has a look into eBay and finds a fantasy price of 400€ sales plus 50€ transportation for a MAP sensor and charges 100€ VAT ? I cannot take that risk. Within the EU it would not be a problem. I would ask you to send your MAP sensor and verify it and then find a solution with you that would fit us both.

I believe it is better if you sell it to someone in the Americas. US customs e.g. seems to be much more relaxed with such imports. I am sorry not to have better news on that.

Thamk you for your careness, I understand your explanation, let me see what to do with my 0280 100 012 MAPs, in the meantime, I am waiting for your PM as well.

On the other hand, a friend of my has also a MB 250 CE and he found his MAP, with correct number 0280 100 025 could not retain vacuum at all, he told me he opened and found the diagram broken, and ask me to find a solution, do you have diagrams available for this MAP? ( my friend doesn´t speak english at all)

I had sent you a PM already. Did you get that? Regarding your friend: Torn diaphragms are unfortunately normal on type 2 MAP sensors. But replacing them will hopefully make your car work for another 30 to 40 years. I am currently working on building diaphragms myself. I now have the copper foil ready and work to have the holder for adjustment screws on it. Once that is completed, I am ready. So far I got some for 150 USD plus transport. I work to bring that cost down by producing them myself.

However it makes no sense for your friend to just replace the diaphragm. Afterwards you need to adjust part-load, full-load transition and full-load stop screws to references. So even when I have my own diaphragms ready I will not sell them. It simply makes no sense. Bosch of course also offers to refurbish broken MAP sensors.

BTW: If you ever come to European Union or have a friend coming here, it is then no problem to send it to me. I would verify it and then I can grant you some money back.
