Hi Nigel,

I am still back at my post 22863   . Please use original ECU and put ground on pin 19 to activate fuel pump. Or connect a 2.5mm² cable from battery to fuel pump with a fuse ! Then check 1st ECU whether it operates engine well.

Hi Dr Volker, With a test light on pin 19 to ground the car started and ran for only about 7 seconds and stopped and did not want to restart. This is with my original ECU,Regards Nigel.

why don't you do what Volker said?
He asked for a connection from '19' to ground.
Without a test light.
Just a connection.

Nobody told about earthing the ECU.
The connection from 19 to earth (ground) will activate the fuel-pump-relay permanently.
