Hi Volker,Greetings from Nigel Gibb E3 1975 3.0si .I'm having starting problems,it seems I have no feed to the fuel pump.Ive checked the ECU pins 16 and 24 are liv e with the ignition on. Also the pump relay ( which is new ) is showing pins 30/51 are live but 87 is dead .I've noticed that there are two identical green and white wires one from 30/51 and one from 87 which I'm guessing is going to the pump.Look forward to hearing from you.The main relay I'm sure is not an issue I've tried three and even run the car on the original 50 year old version that was on the car from new.

Hi Nigel,
if 16 and 24 are +12V, check whether ECU sets pin 19 to low to activate fuel pump relay. At least 1 second after switching ON ignition.

Hi D djet,Thank you,Can I ask my electrical skill is not great.I just tested 16 and 24 with a test light. With a voltmeter do I put one end on the pin and the other to earth ,car metal with the ignition on to read the voltage ? When I was trying today I did hear the pump very briefly make it normal pre starting hum ! Just once in several attempts.Nigel.

Hi Nigel,
just measure against +12V (e.g. pin 16) without causing a shortcut.

Hi Dr Volker, I tested pin 16 ,which is 12.75 V same 19 but 24 is 8.75.I connected my spare ECU and had the same readings. What do you think is wrong ? Thank you Nigel.
