Hi- Thanks Volker- annoyingly the sensor connector casing entirely disintegrated when I removed the female plug, so I have two bare male pins. My only reliable remedy is to replace the whole sensor- unless you have alternative recommendation.
 
But here you wrote that is it the male TTS connector housing.

Yes- it is the male housing on the TTS that is broken, so I am having to replace the entire TTS with a modern equivalent, which only comes with a 'modern' connector.

But then what Norbert showed you is wrong. That is female connector on wiring harness in a more modern version than wat was used in your car.

yes, I have to change the original d-jetronic female connector to the 'modern' connector Norbert suggests, so that it fits the new/modern TTS.
