Thanks Volker & Norbert. I've checked the couple of sensors I have and they're within tolerance. Will check at the ECU connection next.
What sort of performance difference would you expect with it all working properly compared with what I'm seeing? I have a couple of spare harnesses too, one from an A310, one from an R17G.

Hi Tim,
a wrong mixture firstly causes bad emissions before it downgrades engine performance. And it causes high fuel consumption.

Hi Tim,
seems reasonable according to jetronic.org/en/d-jetronic/troubleshooting#Temperatursensoren . But you know that you have to measure on your ECU connector in car.

Hi Volker, I put some pictures up. In car was 10 ohms different compared to spare harness and sensor on the bench. The ECU in an Alpine is inside the panel behind the LHS door. 360 to 350 ohms.
361 in car, 352 spare on bench.
