the oil pressure is too low during idle - 1972-107-350-SLC-116982 engine

Hi to Everyone in the forum from Istanbul,

My engine had a wiring harness problem which was solved with support from Volker. (thans again)
The engine is now back to life.
Today I was able to go for a short ride (6-8 km distance) to test the performance of my car.
When I started the engine it was cold so the idle speed was around 1200 rpm.
On my return to the garage I had to stop at the traffic lights when the engine died all of a sudden (transmission D position).
When I started the engine again I realized that the oil pressure indicator was between 2 and 1. idle speed was around 7-800 rpm. A/c was not working.
I went back to the mechanic.
He tried to raise the idle speed but it did not have any effect on the oil pressure.
When I put the engine into the gear (R or D) and start to turn the steering wheel (power steering) the engine dies.
The mechanic tried to adjust the pressure by turning the CO knob in the ECU box, the throttle switch  but it did not help.
Finally he tried the advance/retard on the ignition distributor with no avail.
As I needed to take the car back home he just raised the idle to 1200 as a temporary solution.
The only item in the D-Jet components that was changed is the ECU which I had as a spare.
What should be checked to adjust the oil pressure?

how old is the oil filter ?

Hi Juan,

you cannot change oil pressure by changing injection or ignition. Oil pump reacts to rpm only. Oil pressure at idle above 1 Bar seems okay. You can read more in operations manual.

Hi Volker,

As you have stated that the oil pressure is fine at 1 bar and above I have no problems with it.
My problem is the dying of the engine when I put the car into the gear and at the same time turn the wheel.
What would be a remedy to adjust that?

I need to check the datacard to find out when I last changed oil and oil filter.

Hi Juan,

that means that your A/F mixture or ignition timing is wrong. Engine has no power and can only run empty.
