Birthday and location in profile

bei der Registrierung ist neben dem Vornamen, Nachnamen, Wohnort (ohne Straße) seit Neuestem auch das Geburtsjahr verpflichtende Eingabe. Dies hat nichts mit Spionage zu tun. Wir wollen vielmehr statistisch herausfinden, wie jung die neu hinzukommenden Mitglieder und die alten Hasen sind.

while registering you are required to enter firstname, family name, city (without street address) and recently also year of birth. This is not an espionage tool. We rather want to find out what is the average age of our newcomers and our loyal members would be.

Die Felder Ort und Geburtstag sind dabei doppelt vorhanden. Ein Mal im zugrunde liegenden Joomla Profil (Betriebssystem der Webseite) und ein Mal im Kunena Forum Profil. Beide sind nicht gekoppelt. Euer im Joomla eingetragener Wohnort taucht deshalb nicht im Forum auf. Wollt Ihr dort Euren Wohnort sichtbar haben, dann müsst ihr den im Forums Profil erneut eintragen. Das Gleiche gilt für den Geburtstag. Das Feld ist auch doppelt und unabhängig voneinander in Joomla und nochmals im Kunena Forum. Beim Registrieren werden weder der Ort noch der Geburtstag im Kunena Forum eingetragen. Wenn ihr diese Daten sichtbar machen wollt, müsst Ihr die nochmals separat eintragen.

Fields city and birthday are present twice. Once in our basic Joomla profile (kind of website operating system) and secondly in Kunena forum profile. Both are not coupled as is the case in username, firstname, name and password. They are two separate fields. Kunena forum fields are only for display in forum (if you wish so) while Joomla profile fields are there for internal statistical use. What does that mean? After registering you have to again enter your city and birthdate if you wish to show to others. If not, just leave it empty.

Wir interessieren uns bei der Registrierung für das Geburtsjahr und es macht nichts aus, wenn ihr bei Tag und Monat 1.1. eingebt. Nur mit dem Geburtsjahr haben wir eine Möglichkeit, zu erkennen, wie alt die Oldie Fahrer wirklich sind und wie jung die neuen Mitglieder. Mit anderen Worten werden wir so erkennen, ob das Forum genug Nachwuchs hat oder ob es in 30 Jahren leer sein wird, weil wir alle zum Fahren zu alt sein werden. Klarnamen sind nicht öffentlich sichtbar.

When we ask for your year of birth while registering it doese not matter which day or month you enter, you can e.g. use Jan-01 . But only with year of birth we will have a chance to understand, how old our necomers and also our members who started to join in 2002 really are. In other words we will then start to understand whether we have enough newcomers or whether we will have an empty forum in 30 years when we all will not be able to drive a car any more. Firstname and name are not publically visible.

Ich habe eine Änderung programmiert, die auch die alten Hasen ihr Geburtsjahr für die Statistik Auswertung im Joomla Profil eintragen lässt. Im Kunena Profil kann jeder frei entscheiden, ob er dieses Geburtsdatum (Geburtsjahr genügt) im Forum anzeigen lassen will.

I did a program change that also allows our old foxes here to enter their dob for our statistical anlysis in Joomla profile. Everyone can freely decide whether he wants this date to be published in our forum as well.

um Euch zu motovieren, unser Altersprofil möglichst umfassend zu erfassen, habe ich Euch neben die Felder für das Veröffentlichen des Geburtstags und des Orts noch die Angaben aus dem Joomla Profil in grau daneben geschrieben. Ihr seht also, was Ihr da veröffentlicht.

In order to motivate you to populate our age profile statistics I did also write the birthdate you entered when registering besides the checkboxes for publishing this birthdate and your location from Joomla profile. So if you wish to publish, you will also notice what it is that you publish.

Jetzt bitte ich auch alle Alt-Benutzer darum, Ihr Geburtsjahr (Jahr genügt) im Joomla Profil einzutragen.
