250ce MAP sensor was created by mcging
Can anyone tell me if MAP sensor 0280 100 012 (what I currently have) would work in my car according to MB parts section should be the 0280 100 006 or 0280 100 025 for 250CE.

Car runs very very rich, new plugs black after running first time.

Thanks in advance

Welcome, Damion, to the forum...
No, it doesn't fit.
Depending on the car's <or ECU> date of build it has to be one of the types you already noticed.
But only one of them will be a perfect fit.
Have a look here: jetronic.org/en/d-jetronic/mps#Liste

Hi Damion,

even if you have wrong MPS (yours is for 350 engine) your car should not drown of fuel. I assume that the MPS you have installed does not hold vacuum either. So yes you have to swap this MPS to correct one and to a non leaking one that has never been detuned.

Which one is correct? Well it depends on your ECU. Combinations are listed in Appendix A as Notbert has already pointed out.

Hi nordfisch it is a 1971 car so I am thinking I need a 0280 100 025, but I may double check the ECU to make sure.

Hi Dr-DJet,

The car is a 1971 car so I think I need a 0280 100 025, but I may double-check the ECU to make sure.

I have no idea what the previous owner was messing at with the car, they also replaced the injectors for 0 280 150 036 and I have now sourced and installed 0 280 150 023 ones.

Thanks, Damion

Hi Damion,

I hope you did buy real Bosch green injectors. Just Bosch no. is not good enough. There are many badly working after market injectors around. Another reason why engine gets flooded with fuel is a disconnected or wrong engine temp sensor.
