Hi D jet familyI cannot adjust the carbon setting in my Mercedes W114 280E. When you hold down the gas while the carbon is 4, the exhaust emission increases to 6. It rises instead of falling. What could be the reason for this? I tried to adjust it from the brain but I couldn't. Adjustment button came to the end. Still carbon 4%. Pressure sensor idle vacuum value -0.6 bar. What is problem? Thanks.

Merhabe Kerim,
how did you survive earthquake in Hatay? I had asked for you in February. My friend's home is demolished and he lost many friends and relatives.
Open AAV does not influence CO directly. It influences rpm. Can you increase CO by ECU rheostat? So does CO change at all it you turn it?

Thank you Doctor Walker our house is damaged. However, we did not have any casualties. Thank you for your interest. When I change the ecu, the carbon increases. In other words, the Eco function is correct, but the carbon does not go down 4.5% even though I come to the end of the adjustment. Also, when I press the gas at 2000 rpm with the exhaust meter installed, the carbon increases from 4.5 to 6 when I press the gas on the contrary. Normally, it should decrease. I changed the distributor yesterday, could it be because of that? Or could it be the green wire from the distributor to the ignition computer?
Thanks for answer.

Merhaba Kerim,
well good to hear that you had no casualities in your family.
A totally wrong igntion timing can cause higher CO. But problems with MAP sensor and with engine temperature sensor and wiring is more common. What is the stamp in the 0 280 100 111 MAP sensors top right rivet?
