Yes, these do have that reference ("01D088B" to be exact).  I'm hoping that is not a bad sign?

I did read this on the Beck Arnley:  forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?p=5346194

At this point I have scoured the always reliable inter-web and determined that, without a shadow of a doubt, I have absolutely no good options.  :)

Here's what I'm going to do though; I've got the Beck Arnley so I'm going to install them and try them out.  I'm also going to send my Bosch out for cleaning (calling it a "rebuild" is a bit of a misnomer).  Best case; the Beck Arnley work fine and I waste the $300 on cleaning the Bosch...worst case I remove the Beck Arnley and re-install the Bosch and waste $500 on the Beck Arnley.  Either way I'm spending a boatload on injectors but if I can get the car running close to how it did in 1973 it's worth it.

Fortunately this is not a primary car and the swap is not terribly difficult.

500 USD ? You could have had SPSoner imitations for 100 USD - and yes for 8 pcs. They are all the same technical solution. The ones I mentioned are even bleu and carry 0 280 150 036 writing on them. They are still not original and still do not produce original flow in all rpms.

Viele Schraubergrüße - best regards, Dr-DJet Volker

Thanks x046866x. Now, I'm pretty sure it was Beck Arnleys that were given to me instead of the Bosch.
A search with Google on 01D088B brings up this Chinese injector which looks a lot like the Bosch : www.cb-baixinde.com/fuel-injector-oem-01d088b.html
www.ebay.com/itm/185388700346
In the ad, 01D088B is a Lucas reference.

As for the Chinese with their Bosch reference, ( www.ebay.com/itm/274441471871 ), it's crude imitation. They have 4 holes and do not have the same connectors, as for the Fiveos and these injectors :
citroends.net/en/shop/product/205400-fue...ent-as-original-1066
The salesman told me that these american injectors are OEM quality but he did not know (or wanted) to tell me their brand. 2 weeks ago they were €200 each and now it's €259.

In conclusion, I think we are wasting our time with all these dubious reproductions.
It's not for nothing that the latest Boschs are now sold so expensively, but at least we know what we're buying.

Regards,
Jean-Charles

Probably another scam: www.ebay.de/itm/191547335251

This ad seemed interesting to me at the beginning of my research: 8 remanufactured Bosch injectors for $500.
I had contacted this seller and he told me that this injector was not compatible with the M117.982 engines from 1972, which is not true. I reported him and he banned me from his account!

We replace the original BLUE injector plug with a later production LIGHT ORANGE body.

Except that Volker and others have told me that it is not possible to replace this blue plastic part.
And $500 isn't even the price of 4 used Bosch injectors today!

Yeah, the eBay ones look really cheesy. I would hate to have to cut a new connector in. The "baixinde" ones really do look more similar, but appear to have a plastic housing.

The ones I got were on eBay. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CB34YG?ref..._pt2_dt_b_prod_image While this is no guarantee I received them yesterday and they are all marked as manufactured in either USA. They definitely appear to be of decent build quality; steel body, affixed hose and included proper hose clamp. Again....no guarantee...but I'm going to give them a whirl. I will report back!
