D-Jetronik Daten Ben‘s Mercedes

Hello all members,
From my youngest years I have been interested in cars and all things having an engine. I did a lot of repairing and servicing on cars. Had a Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 for some years but was to busy with my job to attend it.
Greatest mistake I made was selling the car.
After retiring from the airline business I began looking for a restoration project car. One day I ran into a Mercedes 350SL/4,5 from 1972. Identification number 107044 1200 1442.
USA imported into the Netherlands in 2002, with three owners in the Netherlands before me and without a clear history I nevertheless fell in love with the car. I bought it without thoroughly checking the car, but with a good feeling about it. After two years of restoring, lots of frustrations, also some victorious moments, an engine rebuilt, lots of new and secondhand parts, the car is now in a ‘good’ condition. The D Jetronic system keeps me busy all the time, and my admiration for the system is growing. Looking forward on sharing my questions and experiences with you.
