I don´t remember! If someone already asked for this.
I wonder where I can find electrical wirings for my 350 SE (w116) 1974?
Do anybody have a clue?
Regards and thanks /David

I want them all

At this moment, I need all wirings to the Cluster/instrumentation. I have problems with indicator lamps (fuel and high beam). The bulbs are not broken.
And also the wirings to and from the fuse box.
Do you know where to find all that.
The MB dealer (here in Sweden) don't have this any longer.
Best regards /David

have a look at handbook.w116.org . As it is a US website they have no 350 SE. but you can chosse the 450SE and just keep in mind the difference in throttle switch (no full-load contact on 350SE). Then choose electrical trouble shooting and wiring diagrams.
BTW: My other webiste sternzeit-107.de/en is a better place for common W116 questions. It deals with 107 SL/SLC and also has a W116 forum.

we buy parts for our DIY harnesses at Robert Eissler
You find a link on his page to a harness-producer here in Germany.
I don't have any experience with this company - but I had a look at their page and like what they tell about their work and products.
The page of this company is in German, only - but I'm quite sure you could contact him in English, too.

Ready-produced harnesses for classic cars are quite expensive...

I found out that the wiring diagrams in the "handbook.w116.org" where really good, wery helpful.
But I have one question about a 2 plinth socket/connection near the 2 pre-resitors 0.4 ohm and 0.6 ohm, near the ignition coil.
I really cannot find the connection in the wiring diagrams. Maybe I'm blind. I want to know which are all the cables to this socket. And where do the go from there. One of this cables was lose and hit the ignition coil and the alternator was to be repaired. This one goes under the fuses in the fuse box and in under the dashboard. (maybe 15 start-run bus?) But again I want to know all of the cables to this connection. Maybe the connection can see a little different in w116 compared to the w107. I will try to send some pics.
Many thanks if you guys out there can help me.
Regards David

that is well documented in chapter 07.5-519 General description of breakerized transistor igntion system of both R/C107 and W116 workshop manual. Just click on 107 SL Workshop manual above . Then look at section standard TSZ switchgear - standard switchgear on page 6. 15 comes from starting switch and "a" from starter itself. "a" bridges first preresistor to increase starting voltage on ignition coil.

.. if I look at page 6 it look like my connection, with one cable connected direct from switchgear to the ignition distributor. But then I don´t understand my cable that goes from Terminal 7 and disappear under dashboard. That one that cause my shortcut. Because in page 6 there is only one cable connected to terminal 7 and that one goes to TD in switchgear. What is "V" in the picture?
Sorry for being stupid

V means voltage measurement for testing the ignition module and coil.
pin 7 on ignition module is the green shielded cable with coax type connector at ignition module. It must go drectly to ignition dustributor. Pin TD on ignition module goes to an rpm meter (Americans call it tachometer which we would use for speedometer) in your dashboard - if you have one.

Yes i understand about the coax Cable. But in page 4 and 5 (General discription....) the cable goes trought terminal 7.
But not in page 6 and not in my case. Are you talkin about pin 7 and terminal 7 in same way? I think that cable from ignition switch gear (TD) i can understand and recognize. (I dont have rpm meter in my car) But i have a 2 pinth connector shown in some page. There is one cable from (maybe) direct "from start run bus" to terminal 7, maybe it is the cable shown in the wiring diagram, goes before the first preresitor, direct to, terminal 7? And if so where is that cable connected? To the cluster or to the igintion switch or to elsewhere. Can i take it away. The cable is all burned, the covering. But no one of the near cables seems affected. But i havnt found it under the dashboard, behind the cluster. So i´m not sure, affected or not? My alternator is repaired, all the diods and coil where brokened. And before install all i want to be sure. What do you think?
Many thanks and regards /David

Where can I see, which and where to find the different terminals, is that obvious in the wiring diagrams? is it only me? I find it rather difficult to find them (and also vehicle location).
A another problem for me, I don't see different colors (I'm color blind)

But again, thank you Volker
