Benzindruck sinkt wenn Motor warm

Servus aus München,

ich ein problem mit dem Benzindruck an meinem 914er, 2,0, d-jet. Den Benzindruck habe ich bei kaltem Motor eingestellt und das Manometer für Testfahrten eingebaut gelassen, da ich eine AFR-Anzeige mit Breitband-Lambda eingebaut habe. Wenn der Motor warm ist, sinkt der Druck. Die Einstellschraube am Druckregler habe ich ganz rein gedreht um auf maximal 1,5 bar bei warmen Motor zu kommen, fahren möchte ich so nicht mehr..... Wenn ich die Benzinleitung hinter dem Druckregler mit einer Zange verenge, dann steigt der Druck an. Ich kann den Druck so bis auf über drei bar bringen. Ein zweiter Druckregler funktioniert genau so, den Druckregler kann ich vermutlich als Fehler ausschließen. An der Benzinpumpe liegen 13,2 volt an. Es ist eine 3,5 bar Benzinpumpe verbaut, ähnlich einer Pierburg. Der Druck bleibt nach dem Abstellen des Motors noch eine Weile auf 1,5 bar,
Wie bekomme ich den Druck stabil?

wenn Du schon 2 Druckregler getestet hast, bleiben nur

• undichte Benzinschläuche
• Benzinpumpe
• permanent öffnende Einspritzventile oder Kaltstartventil
• Dampfblasen am Manometer

icfh denke, du hast zwei defekte Druckregler - etwas anderes kann ich mir nach deiner Phänomenbeschreibung nicht vorstellen.

der Benzindruck war jetzt 30 Minuten noch bei 1,3 bar, nach gut einer Stunde bei 0 bar. Das AFR hat bei der Fahrt ein zu mageres Gemisch angezeigt. Das Manometer sollte also passen.
Gibt es neue Druckregler, gerne mit Manometer, die Ihr empfehlen könnt?

Hi Franz,

Could it be that the fuel filter is clogged? Maybe there is a fuel strainer in the tank before it reaches the actual filter. Both could be clogged. From cold it should not present itself as much, but as the fuel circulates through the system more dirt could collect in the filter/strainer and thereby clog it up.

Hi Peter,
the fuel filter before the pump is new, and all the fuel lines have been replaced as well. There is a filter inside the tank, but unfortunately, I don't know what condition it's in... I'm going to try a cheap pressure regulator first, just to see if the regulator is the problem.

der Kraftstofffilter sitzt hinter der Pumpe. Vor der Pumpe ist nur das Sieb im Tank. Peter hat vollkommen recht, dass sich da oft Rost und Dreck sammelt. Tankgeber raus und nachsehen.

Danke, beim 914er ist´s a bisserl anders. Da sitzt der Tankfilter direkt an der Saugleitung unten am Tank und man muss die Leitung unten abschrauben....und der Tank ist gerade ziemlich voll. Wenn der neue Druckregler am Wochenende nichts bringt, muss ich da wohl ran und das Benzin in ein anderes Fahrzeug umfüllen um so an den Filter zu kommen.

You should try and move the manometer out of the engine compartment. I have had a 1000 head aches because of the exact same problem as you describe when I had the manometer in the engine compartment. The reason is when the glycol in the manometer warms up, it creates an internal pressure in the instrument so your reading drops accordingly.

Thanks; unfortunately, I haven't made much progress yet... lack of time and the heat. The AFR confirms the drop in pressure. I installed a new universal pressure regulator; the pressure loss is slightly lower but still significant. Once the weather cools down, I’ll replace the fuel tank strainer and relocate the fuel pump (Pierburg) from the rear to the front. I’ll be in touch again once the work is done—hopefully with a positive update.

Edit: I could try cooling the pressure gauge a bit with a wet cloth to see what effect that has.
