Die Bosch D-Jetronic war 1967 die erste Großserien elektronische Einspritzung der Welt. - Bosch's D-Jetronic was the first mass-production electronic fuel injection.
Does anyone has experience with these additions to the D-jectronic system?

Does anyone has experience with these additions to the D-jectronic system? was created by Dion1970
Hello
I was wondering if any of these additions would be a good improvement:
1. fuel pulsation damper, such as the Bosch 0280161024 or -037, would this be a good addition to damp the pulsations in the fuel lines from the pump?
2. a check-valve in the vacuum line between inlet manifold and MAP sensor: as we know the MAP can not handle any overpressure. Under normal circumstances and if everything is working right this would not occur, however suppose the engine has a backfire, then this could ruin the MAP sensor. I'm not suggesting that the root cause of a backfire should be ignored, but suppose it would occur for some reason , is an aluminium check valve a good idea / would it be effective?
Maybe someone already has experience, I would like to hear your suggestions?
Thanks and best regards
Dion

Hi Dion,
a pulsation damper is a good idea. All Mercedes-Benz have one in return line. A return valve should not be necessary as I would not know how a normal engine would create over-pressure.

Hi Volker,
Thank you for your answer!
Would de pulsation damper be placed after the fuel pressure regulator, or before?
Regarding the overpressure, indeed not in a normal engine under normal circumstances, but only with an engine backfire there would be overpressure right?
Dion

Hi Dion,
yes pressure damper like 0 280 161 001 should be placed after pressure regulator in return line to fuel tank. And yes a backfire from a LPG installation could create over pressure.
