waveform- speed correction

  PB Anders explains beautifully how the SC works, but i struggle to understand two things-

1. Why is there a 10ms delay after the trigger before the WFM starts?

2. What does the scope look like at higher rpm (Anders only shows idle speed pics)

it would be best to ask questions about his work to Brad via 914world.com where he is active. Especially this part is highly engine specific. It has t to somehow construcht engine fill grade curve. That heavily depends on engine volume and flow in manifold and valves. It was a difficult task to somehow simulate the real curve in each ECU by composition of various curves that could be generated. You cannot transfer this from 914 to XJ12.

Yes- i realise that the porsche and jag most probably have different wfms, but the question is still valid-

I suppose i could answer my own question by looking at a scope trace from the MPS at different revs, but i had hoped that it had been done already

this is a very sensitive function block. Due to that test instructions for ECUs contain many different rpm conditions to verify this block. IT is difficult to isolate that as different rpm also means different other conditions in engine.
