Hello all,
My name is Lance I am from Melbourne, Australia.
Sorry, this will be in English as I can't speak German.
I own a 1972 Mercedes W114 280E sedan. I purchased this car about a year ago and have had it on the road since May. It is my first old Merc and am very much enjoying driving it. Even though it is so old it is still a lovely car to drive. I had to do a lot of work to get it running well as the ignition and injection systems had been poorly maintained and many rough fixes (bodges) had been carried out to keep it going. I have found the D-jet system to be great to work with and have enjoyed learning how to fix it. It is great when working well.
My car is very unusual in that it has a 5 speed manual gearbox. It is the only sedan I know of with one here, are they common in Germany?
I hope to learn more about D-jet through this site.
Regards,
Lance.

Hi Lance,
welcome from down under to jetronic.org ! the 5 speed manual gear box was always a special order. So you do not find it too often in W114 cars.
Have fun with your car! And you are welcome with English writing to our forum.

Hi Lance,
I am from Canada - Also an English mainly speaker (and originally from Southern Hemisphere!) Seems I spend most of my spare time on Djet forums both here and on Benzworld! Dr. Djet and his site are great and have tons of great Djet technical information.
