I'm also trying to figure out the correct ignition coil to change. How do we know if it is with our without ZSG? Do you have more information on the function of ignition coils in a D-jet engine please?

Hi Archie,
as of VIN 002289 a 250 CE was equipped with ignition module. So most probably yours also has one. Follow the green wire from ignition distributor to ignition coil. It should end at that module. Want to know how it looks like? Have a look at jetronic.org/de/107sl-wsm/107sl-wsm-cont...-107sl-ri-engc-m116D article 07.5-519 p3 .
Ignition coil for this is 0 221 122 001 . In Sternzeit-107.de we recently even created new original labels for that ignition coil.

Hi,
I'm just wondering what is a currently available coil for a 1971 250ce.
Difficult to source a 0 221 122 001, looked at also sourcing a 0 221 119 030 and removing the 0.6 Ohm ballast but can't find these either.

go to BMW and buy coil BMW 12 13 1 363 629 . That is the Bosch coil.
