Wiring Harness Replacement

Does anyone have a good source for purchasing a new wiring harness for a w111 3.5? I have talked to Rhode Island, but they do not have the end plugs. I would like to find a good source for a complete harness including the end plugs. Any suggestions?

Matze280 here has made a complete plan for your car. With that you can build a wiring harness yourself. I am sure you have seen chapter 10 of my compendium which also includes supllies.

Hi Volker, Do you have any schematic design for wiring harness location? We are in the middle of a W111 restoration but couldn't find info for location of original wiring harness. Kindly help me if you can ! Many thanks, Tamas

I do not really understand what u mean by location. But u can buy a harness plan for rebuilding it from matze280.

I have the complete wiring harness but do not know the exact location of it due to lack of info was provided by guys who dismantled it. That's why I'm looking for the location of wiring harness. Thanks, Tamas

Volker, i guess he needs to know where the individual plug goes. Start to finish.

Hi Tamas,

well that is pretty easy. From ECU and relays it goes along front fender to firewall and from there to right cylinder bank. There it splits up in left and right cylinder bank. There is only one danger: air temp sensor and injectors have same type connector. But you can find correct cable colors in appendix B of my compendium.
