Injectors for 116.980

I have a set of new 0 280 150 036 injectors, but my application is for a 116.980 engine. It appears that the flow rate is higher on the 036 injectors vs. the 044. If I install the 036 injectors, what happens? Does the motor run rich? Since the 044 injectors are so hard to find, is there a way to make the 036 injectors function properly? Thanks

Hi Julian,

did I not recently recommend yellow injectors in the US to you? Blue ones are wrong and you cannot adapt them. You need yellow D-Jetronic ones. Do also not check for L-Jetronic injectors.

Yes you did recommend yellow, and I purchased yellow injectors for that engine. I have another set of blue that I was wondering if I could use them for a similar engine. Thank you for your help.
