Fuel pulsation damper w114 250 CE was created by Marinus
Dear People,
Dear people, after studying the Dr-Djet theories chapter 8 and then in particular 8.4 concerning the pressure damper. I have just discovered that I do not have a pressure damper in my W114 250ce. While this should be the case. After studying microfishes it appears that there is a part number 45 so-called diaphragm MB A 000 0780292 (Bosch no. 280 161 002) pulsation damper. Furthermore, I also find it strange that I have 2 fuel filters. 1 piece directly behind the petrol pump. And 1 piece on the left side of the engine block. I therefore have the following questions:
1) I am now driving without a petrol damper, how bad is this?
2) Can my 2 fuel filters not also take over the function of the damping effect of the fuel damper?
3) is there more known now why there is an adjusting screw on top of the damper?
4) does anyone have a photo for me where the petrol damper is exactly?
I am looking forward to your answers. Greetings from Marc

Hi Marc,
your car only has one filter. Depending on VIN it is in engine compartment and later near fuel pump - where it normalls resides. Pulsation damper is redcing noise of hydraulic shock waves in pipes when pressure regulator opens and closes. It is a good idea to ave on in 250 CE as it also reduces pressure waves on pressure regulator and injectors. Car will run without. Screw on pulsation damper is for adjusting. But nowhere we have a definition how to adjust. So keep your fingers off that part.

Thanks for the fast reply,
Below a picture of the first generation "Krafstofanlage". The first generation had a fuel pump with three connected tubes the next generation had 2. But what is part 92 ? It is cold "damper cage", does this mean that first generation had this part number 92 and also the part number 45 so-called diaphragm (the fuel pulsation damper) which is shown in the first picture of this topic?
Gr Marc

And the below picture is from the VDH flipbook. That looks a bit like part nr 92 but then in a square shape instead of a round cilinder. Is that then a very very early version?

Hi Marc,
Mercedes-Benz normally installs 2 pulsation dampers. One for fuel outflow below tank and one in or after ring line in engine compartment.

I found this overview.
It is for first generation (three connections fuel pump).
What is the difference between nr 9 the membran daempfer (at the outlet of the pressure regulator indeed i think in the motorcompartment) and the nr 2 Daempferbehaelter?
gr Marc
