Injector Repair was created by andya
On two of my injectors the blue plastic around the connector has crumbled. Are there any repair options? It seems a shame to throw away working injectors just because of this. I was wondering about creating a mold and then casting with silicone but I would have to cut off some of the existing plastic, seems problematic.
Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy,
could you please take a photo and post it here?
What you describe is mainly not a technical problem.
But if injectors leak in this area, they have to be replaced immediately.
Regards
Norbert
edit: The plastic cap doesn't seal the injector. It's just a cap and a holder for the electrical connector.

Thanks - the problems is not sealing, it's a loose electrical connection because the plastic that holds the connector is gone and it is only held by the two pins.

Hi Andy,
the plastic gets broken when someone tries to remove the injector from the holder without taking off the locking ring before.
You could glue the whole connector directly towards the injector-plastic or try to reconstruct this using a two-components filler material.
There is no other method.
