that is either a water temperature sensor or a thermo time switch and has nothing to do with auxiliary air slide valve.

The 0 280 100 003 is not a good substitute. It will let you consume between 10% to 25% more than the BMW 0 280 100 030 sensor. Your spark plugs should become rather black and CO emissions should be too high at all loads, especially full-load.

That explains why I have 15l/100 at almost any speed. And why it runs so strong and powerfull.
I need an original one!
