72 Volvo 1800 Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Hi, having been searching for a new FPR, and it appears that those available are  priced at €200 - €300.  

I came across this one, a Bosch unit for a Mercedes, which looks very similar, reasonably priced.

Would this one work on the Volvo? It would require an adapter fitting on the return of course.  Is it fair to assume that all Djet systems run at similar fuel pressures?

this is not a FPR, it is the pressure damper for Mercedes-Benz .

I just received a FPR I ordered as a workaround-spare because of the low price.
It looks o.k. but I didn't install it and can't tell anything about the function.
But it would fit into the system without modifications and is adjustable to the pressure we need. Have a look: Link
(My item is black colored).
You need not use the 'turbo function' of this item, simply let the 'turbo' pipe remain open to disable it.
It came without instruction - but we could help you if you had problems installing it.
I would install it without the gauge.
You will find more similar items at ebay USA.

Like Christian and Volker wrote before, you will not find a new Bosch-unit at an acceptable price.

Another alternative is 'Malpassi' <maybe better quality, higher price>, but I didn't find items that would fit your car on ebay USA.

currently there are plenty of used 0 280 160 001 pressure regulators for 30-50 € on eBay US. Of course they are used, but buy one with Paypal and return if it doesn't work.

and there seem to be even new ones in Spain...

Appreciate the information. Will continue searching for a good used one. Or go with aftermarket when required. Curious on the ones from Spain, can’t find it on the net.
