Hello,
Is the 1973 Volvo 164 Fuel Injector a peak and hold type of injector? - specifically 4/1A current ratio (4A peak, 1A hold)
Bosch 0280150036 (Volvo 461674)

Hi Kevin,
definitely not.

It's just a low impedance peak type injector. Don't forget the construction is more than 50 years old, the D-Jetronic is a fully analogue system.

Hi Kevin,

injectors know only tow states: Open via power from ECU or Closed without. In between we have opening and clsing times that the ECU compensates for.

Now I’m looking for high impedance injectors that would fit the existing fuel rail.

Hi Kevin,
search for EV1 type injectors if you need a replacement for the D-Jetronic.injectors.
EV1-injectors are produced in some rail connector designs, various flow rates and high impedance, too.
