Hi Tim,
seems reasonable according to jetronic.org/en/d-jetronic/troubleshooting#Temperatursensoren . But you know that you have to measure on your ECU connector in car.

Hi Volker, I put some pictures up. In car was 10 ohms different compared to spare harness and sensor on the bench. The ECU in an Alpine is inside the panel behind the LHS door. 360 to 350 ohms.
361 in car, 352 spare on bench.

Hi Archie,
your wiring harness should not habe 10 Ohm resistance. You can measure directly from ECU connector to sensor connector. However from in to out can be different temeratures and that can effect your resistance.

Hi Volker, across pins 1 to 13 on the ECU connector measured 361oms at 18 degrees Celsius. I have a spare harness and sensor. I measured it at 352.

Hi TIm,
so then you measure 10 Ohm on 1 wiring harness from ECU connector to pin on sensor without ECU or sensor being connected?

Hi, the sensor and harness in the car measures 361 ohms, a spare harness and sensor measures 352 ohms at 18degrees Celsius.

Hello again!
What should the resistance of the temperature sensor be with the engine at operating temperature? If it's not ready correctly there perhaps it's telling the computer that the engine is still cold and running a rich mix?
I was watching a YouTube of a guy working on an XJ6. The sensor had gone and the engine running rich. When he bridged the sensor it tricked the computer and it ran properly.
Thanks Tim.
Edit, found your graphs!!!

Hello, it turns out my injection triggers were worn. I bent the arms slightly and the car is running very well, especially after I had checked and adjusted everything else on the car.
Are replacement cams still available, or even a drawing of them to make a set myself locally?
Thanks Tim.

Hi TIm,
on your car's trigger contacts cams are not easily replacable like on 8-cyl. TC. You also need to drill out shafts and install new ones. But the good news is that you can later change cams more easily as I constructed cams like in 8-cly TC for small TCs. If you are interested drop me a message.

Hi Volker,
Thanks for that information. I'm trying to find some old points that I can experiment with. I don't want to take mine apart and not drive my car!
I can quite easily draw up designs in CAD and get parts machined up, once I know what to make.
Tim
