ECU 0280 001 007 was created by BLUECSI72
Hello everyone, I'm Giampaolo from Italy and I'm trying to repair a D-Jectronic of a BMW 30CSI (0 280 001 007) whose previous owner has broken a card in the true sense of the word. In fact, when I opened the lid, I found the small card in two pieces. Analyzing the board, I found some resistors and diode D106 broken. I repair the boad and replaced the resistances but I have a doubt about the diode: can I use a 1N4148 to replace it? The diode is also mounted opposite to the sergraphy of the card: is it correct? Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Giampaolo,

D106 is a diode of type TD 4. and u can replace by 1N4148.

However I have my doubts that your ECU will properly work afterwards:
  • Repairing a broken PCB board is difficult in a vibrating scenario as u find it in a car.
  • Resistors have tolerances and here they were used to tune function blocks in ECU. Replacing by a resistor with same color code does not necessarily give you same results.

I cannot comment on serigraphy of D106 . I would have to open an ECU and thus I would risk to break of noses of lid. I am sure u have seen that on BMWs there are 3 color versions with different tuning that have to be combined properly with MAP sensor.

Viele Schraubergrüße - best regards, Dr-DJet Volker

Thanks for the answer Dr-DJet Volker, I know that this repair is a bet but it is an attempt and I hope, thanks also to the info on this site, to be able to put it back into operation.
If someone else can answer the correct position of the diode D106 I thank him in advance.
