Dear Dr-DJet

Hope you find this message well.

My car (Isuzu 117 coupe PA90 by1972) is using Bosch D jetro.

ECU is using 0280000022. And using MPS is B280000120. Please note first digit is "B" as like attached photo. And this is sure Bosch Made(also photo attached).

Is this MPS still same as 0 280 100 120 as you said by e-mail dated March 11,2017?

Thanks and regards

Shimizu

Hi Shimizu,

welcome to jetronic.org.

It is a MAP sensor I have never seen before. It leading "B" in the Bosch no. shows that it special, normally that was used for Rallye Sports components, meaning tailor made components not for normal cars.

I know that Isuzu has bought Bosch license for D-Jetronic and even developed it further. We know the ECU from Citroen DS21 ie, it exists in 2 versions.MAP sensor however has a diffferent numbering scheme as all other Bosch MAP sensors have a 0 280 100 xxx number. That is why I believed that you would use a 0 280 100 120 MAP sensor. That one is for Vega and is a type 3 MAP sensor. It does not fit.

Your MAP sensor B 280 000 120 looks like a type 2 MAP sensor with full-load diaphragm. I have never seen that before and would love to take a reference measurement of a working one. After that I would be able to repair and tune it and also understand whether there is another one that I could tune to meet those values. These sensors tend to have a torn diaphragm and loose vacuum. Have a look at Testing a MAP sensor .

But unfortunately I have no documentation on D-Jetronic in Isuzu at all and also no reference values for this MAP sensor, only for your ECU. Would love to get hold of documentation and a MAP sensor for referencing.

Viele Schraubergrüße - best regards, Dr-DJet Volker
