Hello,
I am Paul Vogel and live in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, USA. I am retired and now work full time repairing Citroen and Renault for clients. Primarily from my home garage. I have been a client car, a 1974 Renault R 17 Gordini which has had various repairs done to it. I recently had the motor completely rebuilt and now need help getting the car to run properly. The D Jetronic is not familiar to me but I believe the MAP sensor is no longer working. I noticed in the list on this site the Bosch serial number for this MPS. It has been rebuilt at one time but now appears unable to hold a vacuum. I would like to send the sensor to anyone who can test and rebuild it. Thank you.

Hi Paul,
you may try this classic Bosch car service here in Germany:
www.carservice-kueppers.de/service/d-k-ke-jetronic/
I just talked to them. They would check the sensor and estimate the cost. The checking would be 60€.
The overhaul of your sensor would be about 450€, cost of checking included.
But, due to the extra tariff situation for goods send to the US now, they are reluctant to ship to the US.
Please pm me, maybe we will find another way.
Regards
Thomas
note: the cost for overhauling may vary on the type (part number) of sensor

Hi Paul,
I rather recommend to use Bosch itself. Check Bosch at koller.de for information. If u were not located in the US and I was not moving to a new home soon, I would also be able to help and curious to measure this specific MAÜ sensor. But under these conditions I can unfortunately not do so. I have also seen other MAP sensors overhauled by Injector corp that failed and were mistuned.
I have heard of cases where the first recommendation of Tom was also not really successful.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I will send the unit to Bosch and hope for the best. I do have someone in the Netherlands you can receive the item and can forward it to me as a gift.
