you are absolutely right. Maybe these are Beck-Arnley, maybe other Chinese crap. But no Bosch ones.
Bosch injectors wear the Bosch marking.
There are Chinese injectors of blue color wearing the part# 0 280 150 036, but no Bosch marking. They are Chinese crap, too.
Also available in green and yellow color.
New genuine Bosch D-Jetronic-injectors are hard to find nowadays and quite expensive. Maybe 150$ <or 150€> as a minimum, the price is tending to a higher level.
You should try to get your injectors cleaned by a professional service. In most cases they work like new ones afterwards.

Norbert

Yes, I had first had my injectors cleaned by an ASNU service provider, but here is the state in which they came back.
That's why I bought new ones from a Mercedes SL specialist in France who cheated me by selling me these ersatzs for €200 each instead of the Bosch ones. When questioned, he did not know (wanted?) to tell me their origin. That's why I'm asking your opinion.
Other dealers tell me Beck Arnleys are okay, but Volker warned me about all these reproductions.
They are sold at MB Classics for example. No brand indicated but again most likely Beck Arnley or SMP.
www.mbclassics.de/injection-nozzle-M117-...L-SLCSE-SEL300sel-45
The only new Bosch ones I've found in Europe from professionals are €430 each including VAT at citroends.net (more than 24 units available last week) and €300 excluding VAT at Verner Karasch.
In the USA, it's $250 minimum.
These injectors are a good short-term investment !

professional ASNU service providers have tested them and told me that they have wrong flow rates for other rpm than idle. As long as you can get your original ones cleaned take that chance.

Compared to Bosch 0280150036
The difference is obvious!
Otherwise, there are also Chinese imitations to avoid.
Let's hope that one day there will be a real quality alternative... Perhaps the ASNU classic injectors.

I did read this on the Beck Arnley: forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?p=5346194
At this point I have scoured the always reliable inter-web and determined that, without a shadow of a doubt, I have absolutely no good options.

Here's what I'm going to do though; I've got the Beck Arnley so I'm going to install them and try them out. I'm also going to send my Bosch out for cleaning (calling it a "rebuild" is a bit of a misnomer). Best case; the Beck Arnley work fine and I waste the $300 on cleaning the Bosch...worst case I remove the Beck Arnley and re-install the Bosch and waste $500 on the Beck Arnley. Either way I'm spending a boatload on injectors but if I can get the car running close to how it did in 1973 it's worth it.
Fortunately this is not a primary car and the swap is not terribly difficult.

A search with Google on 01D088B brings up this Chinese injector which looks a lot like the Bosch : www.cb-baixinde.com/fuel-injector-oem-01d088b.html
www.ebay.com/itm/185388700346
In the ad, 01D088B is a Lucas reference.
As for the Chinese with their Bosch reference, (www.ebay.com/itm/274441471871), it's crude imitation. They have 4 holes and do not have the same connectors, as for the Fiveos and these injectors :
citroends.net/en/shop/product/205400-fue...ent-as-original-1066
The salesman told me that these american injectors are OEM quality but he did not know (or wanted) to tell me their brand. 2 weeks ago they were €200 each and now it's €259.
In conclusion, I think we are wasting our time with all these dubious reproductions.
It's not for nothing that the latest Boschs are now sold so expensively, but at least we know what we're buying.

Jean-Charles

This ad seemed interesting to me at the beginning of my research: 8 remanufactured Bosch injectors for $500.
I had contacted this seller and he told me that this injector was not compatible with the M117.982 engines from 1972, which is not true. I reported him and he banned me from his account!
Except that Volker and others have told me that it is not possible to replace this blue plastic part.We replace the original BLUE injector plug with a later production LIGHT ORANGE body.
And $500 isn't even the price of 4 used Bosch injectors today!

The ones I got were on eBay. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CB34YG?ref..._pt2_dt_b_prod_image While this is no guarantee I received them yesterday and they are all marked as manufactured in either USA. They definitely appear to be of decent build quality; steel body, affixed hose and included proper hose clamp. Again....no guarantee...but I'm going to give them a whirl. I will report back!

I went to install the Beck Arnley, and it didn't even fit properly! The short explanations; shorter nozzle means injection occurs much high in chamber (if not in injector channel itself) and very slightly longer chassis so with the Beck Arnley bushing, which doesn't fit the hole sufficiently anyway, the injector sits higher and because of the single bolt/ring securement on the 450SL it will mount at an angle!
Not that they care, but I will be contacting Beck Arnley also. This may work for other installations....but not this one.
Back to a good cleaning with mine. I'm looking at these folks, unless someone has some concrete better experience somewhere. www.motormanfuelinjection.com/Bosch-Fuel...ctor-0280150036.html

Get reimbursed and have your original injectors reconditioned if possible by an ASNU service provider. And wrap the injectors well so you don't break the connectors as they may have become brittle over time.
I can't open your link (host down).

It's just that there were too many things adding up. I decided to take the risk with cleaning the injectors and hope that a before/after test will show an improvement and the vehicle will run better once installed.

all those China/USA rebranded injectors are all of the same technology and I am believe that there is only 1 manufacturer for them: 3 hole instead of 1 needle. They might be even injecting the same amount of fuel in idle. However they do not perform the same when you change rpm and injection times. But that is what is needed to be compatible with Bosch injectors and that is what D-Jetronic ECU relies on. Fuel pressure and injectors wotk properly and then inejction times determine the amount of fuel injected.
I do not want to add more to it.
